Overview

MuseumX is an idea that I began working on in November of 2022. The original version was a huge structure with a shorter version of the OLIT at Starbase included as a prominent feature used to secure Ships and Boosters so they could be internally reinforced for horizontal display on the main museum floor. SN15 was also a central feature of these designs since this was before the devastating scrapping of that vehicle on July 26th, 2023. There are many details to this specific version and its evolution, so I will make a separate breakdown for this.

Below are some images showcasing the progression of the concept during this early period:

I worked on 3D modeling the original version until March of 2023, right before my partner and I packed everything we owned into the SUV I owned at the time and started living on the road, with our first stop being Starbase, TX for the first integrated flight of Starship. After migrating west to Oregon I began working on a new evolution of the concept, one which had grown from the feedback and suggestions I had collected in private conversations before showcasing MuseumX publicly. This new iteration is smaller, sensible, and achievable while retaining the elements of what makes MuseumX so necessary. Just as with V1, I will dive into the many details of V2 in a separate full breakdown.

You can see the progression of this version in the images included below:

Fully detailed breakdowns will be coming very soon, alongside a very special MuseumX announcement!
